The modern and welcoming visitor centre lies within the old courtyard at Malahide Castle. Here you will be welcomed by our friendly admission staff where visitors can collect tickets before their guided tour of the castle. The visitor centre is buzzing with visitors and locals enjoying all there is to offer with the Museum Shop, Avoca Retail & Cafe , The Malahide Outdoor Store and The Irish Centre for Cycling – where visitors can hire bikes to simply just tour the grounds or for the more active, there are a selection of beautiful routes that can be explored around the beautiful coastline and country side of North Co. Dublin and Fingal.

Within the Visitor Centre you will find the our interactive Garden Exhibition area which details the story of Lord Milo Talbot and his sister Rose’s botanical walled garden. This beautiful garden is tucked away like a hidden gem behind the visitor centre and can be accessed through the exhibition area located beside the admission desk.

Our Museum Shop is a treasure trove of gifts to ensure your memories last of your visit. From Irish coffee table books on the history of Malahide Castle to Irish crafted jewellery, souvenirs and locally produced art, there is something for everyone small and big and all budgets.

Other facilities in the Visitor Centre include, toilets ( including disabled), first aid room & access to our extensive coach park. Within the Visitor Centre there are a couple of Meeting/Conference rooms- The Project Room & The Loft Room which can be hired for meetings, workshops, classes or events.
