Malahide Castle’s interpretive area is located on the ground floor of the castle. Upon entering the castle visitors can enjoy meandering their way around the caverned interpretive area prior to or after taking the guided tour. The interpretive area is a great way to find out a little bit more about Malahide Castle and it’s rich history and the facinating story of the Talbot Family- not forgetting some of the ghostly residents!

The panels of information focus on key family members and shares some personal glimpses of life in the castle.

Private Tours & receptions- For those interested in something a little more exclusive for your guests or group, Malahide Castle can cater for private tours in the evening from 6pm, The caverned interpretive area is the ideal space for an intimate drinks/canape reception before embarking on an exclusive tour of the castle.
